Laurie Gordon

Laurie Gordon is the director of the Animaze - Montreal International Animation Festival and creator of Animation Day in Cannes. Laurie is president of Musivision Films, cross connecting music, film and animation and new media curating events worldwide at festivals as well as government organizations with events in Moscow, New Delhi Tel Aviv film festivals.

Fresh from Cannes Film Festival she organizes animation screenings including Donovan musician and creator of the animated TV series "Tales of Aluna". 

 

A musician and singer songwriter, Laurie graduated with a degree in music from Concordia University in Montreal and has an extensive song catalogue.
As a film producer and music composer under her company Musivision Films, she collabrated closely with the father of psychedelic animation Oscar nominee Ryan Larkin, subject of Oscar winning film "Ryan". 

Laurie produced the animation "Spare Change" and documentary feature "Ryan's Renaissance"  about her work with Larkin for CTV television.

 Laurie worked with Oscar winner Co Hoedeman's animated film "55 Socks" about his childhood during the Nazi occupation in the Netherlands. Working closely with Gerald Potterton, director of the cult classic "Heavy Metal", Laurie is now completing a film about his life with more productions in development. 

 

Laurie has recorded and worked with Steve Whitfield (The Cure) with her band Chiwawa, recorded with Camel Hinds  (Paul Weller Band), among others.

 

Laurie performs as recording artist alter-ego as "Coda Chrome" an experiential "trip- pop"  experience. More in store!
