Front-woman Gloria Piccinin isn’t just a standout; she’s a sonic whirlwind, fusing soulful and delicate tones with a voice that can rip through the air with raw power and electrifying intensity. Alongside guitarist Marco Marinato, she drives the creative vision of OVERLAPS. They’re backed by the relentless grooves of bassist Stefano Galioto and the thunderous rhythms of drummer Stefano Guglielmo, the backbone of their live shows. Gloria pens the lyrics and melodies, which Marco masterfully shapes into dynamic alt-rock anthems. They’ve perfected a killer blend of rock grit and alt-pop energy.
When OVERLAPS takes the stage, they unleash an electrifying force that grips the crowd from the first note. Their live performance is a high-octane blend of raw energy and precision, creating an atmosphere that’s both intense and exhilarating. The band’s synergy is undeniable, with each member locking into a groove that feels like a well-oiled machine fueled by pure rock adrenaline. Their sound crashes over the audience in waves, a perfect storm of powerful riffs, pounding rhythms, and vocals that resonate deep within. OVERLAPS doesn’t just perform; they ignite the stage, turning every show into an unforgettable experience that leaves the audience buzzing long after the final chord.

In an age where ‘virility at any cost’ dominates the current musical landscape, Glass Cheques, the Glasgow-based duo of Jamie Keenan and Darren McCaughey, keep it simple – prioritising sound over spectacle. With nods to fellow Scots, Teenage Fanclub and Mogwai, the duo’s concise and honest songwriting stands out as a breath of fresh air in today’s musical climate.

The Dutch-language electro/punk band De Plaag looks, at first glance, like a swingers party gone completely off the rails. Poetic with a filthy edge, bold when it can be and vulnerable when it has to be. Stark naked chaos in the dark, De Plaag lays itself bare.
A De Plaag show sticks to your retina like a love bite on your neck.
