Natalie Bibby
Executive Director of the Music Producers Guild (UK)
Natalie Bibby is a mastering engineer at AIR Studios and recipient of the prestigious ‘Mastering Engineer of the Year’ Award 2026. She is one the youngest engineers to ever receive the award. She is also the Executive Director of the Music Producers Guild.
She began her career at Metropolis Studios, where she spent nearly a decade developing a distinctive mastering approach that bridges traditional techniques with a modern perspective. With a background in mixing, she works closely with artists to realise their creative intent, delivering masters with clarity, impact and emotional depth.
Recent projects include mastering and vinyl cutting for Deary’s debut album Birding, named Rough Trade’s Album of the Month, and mastering the official soundtrack for the BBC’s hugely popular series Riot Women. Since joining AIR Studios, Natalie has expanded her work across film and television, with credits for the BBC, Sky, and Netflix, including the soundtrack to Apex.
She is one of a small number of engineers worldwide working with a Neumann VMS-80 lathe, and has a particular focus on the craft of half-speed mastering. Her credits span a wide range of artists including Kraftwerk, Wolf Alice, Faith No More, Lola Young, Sammy Virji, Suzanne Vega, The Orb, GIRLI and CATTY.
Alongside her mastering work, Natalie regularly delivers workshops and speaks internationally. Recent events include workshops at Peter Gabriel’s Real World Studios, Berklee College of Music, and Music Expo in San Francisco. She is also committed to supporting greater representation in audio, and has worked with organisations including We Are Moving The Needle and Music Production for Women.
Alongside her engineering career, she also releases music in the dark ambient genre, under ‘Ber Bein.’
