Emma works across the classical music industry and education, with a dose of technology thrown in the mix. She currently co-runs a UK-based, independent classical label, CRD Records, which is marking its 50-year milestone as the leading critical creative partner of artists and an imprint that delights listeners with arresting music. A learning science practitioner with a background in literary criticism and cultural history, her education work now centres around the Become a Smarter Learner podcast and a collaborative ‘creatorpreneur’ initiative called ‘Build Your Creative Practice’, co-delivered with Gamu Matarira under the aegis of Smart Learning Technologies. CRD was founded in 1965 by Graham Pauncefort to import and distribute specialised Continental and American catalogues. The company’s first recordings were released in 1973. By 1975, CRD had cemented its position as a visionary classical record label.
