
Thomas Jamois
Music Publisher & SDRM Board Member (France)
Thomas Jamois has been working in the music industry since 1997.
Having previously worked for Virgin Records, Tricatel and naïve, he founded Velvetica Music in 2011, a music publishing company which mainly acts as publishing administrator and sub-publisher for players in the audiovisual and pop sectors.
Since 2024, he has been Managing Director of the French branches of the Wise Music Group, which is active in repertoires as varied as French chanson, film music and international pop and controls some of the world’s most renowned classical music publishing houses (Alphonse Leduc, Chester Music, G. Schirmer, Edition Wilhelm Hansen, Edition Peters, Le Chant du monde, etc.), making up the largest independent classical music catalogue.
Wise Music represents works by Philip Glass, Claude Nougaro, Max Richter, Alain Bashung, Ludovico Einaudi, Henri Salvador, The Zombies, Sergei Prokofiev, Kaija Saariaho, Aram Kachaturian, Richard Strauss…
In addition to his publishing activities, he is a board member of SDRM (French mechanical society), the 2 French music publishers’ associations (CSDEM for pop and CEMF for classical).
